Records that are in the trash are counted in the reports.

Hello community, after intensive investigation by support, we have noticed that when we relate records through a lookup field, if we delete records from the child module they will be counted when generating a report from both modules.

See the case below:

There were 3 links between the child module and the parent module:

Child record 1

Child record 2

Child record 3

‘Child record 2’ and “Child record 3” were deleted and therefore moved to the trash.

When generating a report on this record in Reports, we get the result in the image above, showing 2 lines with no references.

Support said that this is the expected behaviour, as the relationship between the records still exists, even in the Recycle Bin.

I would like to hear from the community what they think of the above behaviour, I understand that if a record is in the trash, it shouldn't appear in the reports (not least because we can't even see this data, only a dash is displayed in any fields of the child module that you select) unless I can make it explicit that I want this behaviour, it shouldn't be an arbitrary rule.
