Share with External link, where does the "requested user data" go?

Share with External link, where does the "requested user data" go?

Hi,

So I'm sharing a file via external link to clients and saw the option to request data from the person before accessing it, that'd be very useful as I can follow-up with the people. 

However, it doesn't mention where that data is collected and if I can actually access that database? Could anyone help me to with this please?
