Task view that allows me to edit the project details
Out team like to be able to create a Task View that also allows them to edit the Project Level Details. In the interest of minimizing clicks, it would be great to be able to see a task view (filterable by the task status) that would also display and allow editing of the Project Level information.
To expand...we have a number of custom fields on our projects. The team has found it a bit cumbersome to have to click into the project to edit these fields and then go to the tasks to update a status. So my ask would be one of the two possible concepts (although I'm open to other ideas if you folks are clever).
Option 1: List all tasks with the ability to add project level fields to the view. These project fields would be editable. I understand this could, potentially be confusing as you'd see the same project data repeatedly. Caveat Editor I would say.
Option 2: On a project view, allow us to add a custom column that would show the first task that is in a particular status ("Working on it" in our world). Then allow that task's status to be edited.
Has anyone out there seen something like this?
