Tips and Tricks #22: Rotate objects on the go with Show app for Android

Hi folks,

Visual perception plays a significant role in effective presentations, and one useful aspect of visualization is rotating objects to specific degrees to support dynamic contents in presentations. Have you ever needed to rotate an image and it was difficult to do in an app? Or, you did not know how to do in an app?

Don't worry, this post will tell you everything you need to know regarding rotating objects—images, graphics, and other visual elements—in your slides with the Show app for Android.

By tilting objects to a specific angle, certain aspects of the object can be brought to light, allowing viewers to notice new features in the rotated object like the surface, parts, corners, or edges.

For instance: You can rotate an object in a slide to show its mirror image without using any design tool.

Many departments—including technical, educational, research and development, marketing, sales, business—frequently use data visualization in their presentations to mainly to provide a different view of the object, specify a process, or help the audience remember the object more clearly.

To rotate objects to a particular degree:
  1. Open the slide with the object you want to rotate.
  2. Select the object.
  3. Go to Format and then Arrange.
  4. Drag the Rotation slider to the required degree.

Tip 1:
You can rotate objects using the object's placeholder anchors.

Show also allows you to invert objects and then rotate them. You can use Show's horizontal and vertical Flip arrows to invert objects either horizontally or vertically respectively.

To flip objects in a slide:
  1. Open the slide with the object you want to flip.
  2. Select the object.
  3. Go to Format and then Arrange
  4. Flip using the top-bottom or left-right Flip arrows.

We'll be back soon with more tips and tricks for using Show.
