Triggering launch of chat window from button placed on webpage
Hi. I've been using salesIQ for some time through the traditional installation method which has a floating widget which sits at the bottom right of our screen. At times, having the chat window in the lower right is a nuisance to customers if they accidentally click on it.
Today someone suggested that we place a button in a strategic location on our web pages. For example, in a contact us section -- making livechat an option, and launching the chat window by clicking on the button might be a preferred approach to using the tool for many users. I cannot figure out how to make this happen.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I need to
1. Design a custom button / widget
2. Place that button / widget exactly where we want to
3. When someone clicks on it, have it launch the chat window in its own window for the user.
