Update Inventory

Hi
I need Help. I Imported all my Purchase orders and Sales Orders from my previous transactions to zoho -(Excel CSV). All is set out right. The problem is I cannot trace the inventory for each item. When I click Track inventory, it prompts for new entries of quantities-hence requiring stock take. I always thought what has been purchased and paid for should automatically reflect in the inventory. Someone, help, Am I missing out on something?
