using the address field to provide a map Contacts does, Events does not

using the address field to provide a map Contacts does, Events does not

I created an address field for my Event form so I could use the map feature on my iphone.
 
This works on the contacts field, but it will not on my custom address field in the Events.  Is there something I can do to activate this?  Or is this just a missing feature that I am sure will be added really soon?
