What is best method to link or lookup tables with encrypted fields.
I am testing out Zoho Creator for making a HIPAA database to keep track of patients and their appointments. I have two tables: Patients and Appointments that I would like to be related as one-to-many (one patient can have many appointments).
Per
these instructions, I have encrypted the fields in the Patient table that contain identifying ePHI (name, date of birth, etc). However, when I then go to set up a lookup field in the Appointments table to link the tables, these encrypted fields no longer show in the dialog for setting up the lookup field. The lookup field does show non-encrypted fields like ID as options to set the relationship, but this is essentially a random number with no relevance to the patient making it hard to know if you are selecting the correct patient when setting relatoinships in the app.
Has anyone encountered this problem and can recommend a work-around for linking tables with encrypted fields?
