As always, it gives us great pleasure in commencing the month with a set of new releases. Let's jump right in and find out what's new in Zoho Inventory!
1. Partial Drop Shipment
Let's say your customer has placed an order for five different items, out of which you generally don't keep stock of two of them. For prompt delivery, the best solution at hand would be to drop-ship the two items from your sales order.
Zoho Inventory now supports partial drop shipping of items. Here, instead of drop shipping the entire sales order, you can select the items that you want to drop ship and convert it to a purchase order instantly. The drop shipped items will be directly delivered to your customer's doorstep by your vendor, while the remaining items will be shipped to your customer from your warehouse.
In this update, you can also create both backorders and drop shipments for a single sales order. Learn more about creating partial drop shipments.
2. Spreadsheet Lite Template
We have introduced the
"Spreadsheet Lite"
template for invoices - a new addition to the spreadsheet family is now available in the Indian edition of Zoho Inventory. In this template, you have the provision to include two signatures in the footer, along with other improvisations made from Spreadsheet and Spreadsheet Plus templates.
Go to
Settings -> Templates -> Invoices -> +New
, where you can find and use this template to continue creating professional GST-compliant invoices with ease.
3. Filter by Items Option in Reports
Time is an important factor in any business. We acknowledge this. Which is why we have introduced the "Filter by Items" option in the Inventory Valuation Summary, and Inventory Details report in Zoho Inventory. Using this filter, you can select only those items for which you wish to generate the report rather than scroll through a never-ending list of records.
Let us know your thoughts on the new features in the comments. Until next time.
Cheers,
Lakshmi
