What's New in Zoho Inventory - July 2019

We're already halfway into approaching 2020 and in the past few months, we've been steadily rolling out new features and making improvements to the existing ones with the aim to provide you with an unparalleled inventory management experience. Let's find out what's new in Zoho Inventory in the month of July.

Apply Tax on Shipping Charges (UK Edition)

We have provided an option to apply VAT on shipping charges in the UK Edition of Zoho Inventory. As you create a sales order, you can enter the shipping charges and select the VAT rate that you want to apply to it. This option will soon be opened for the other editions of Zoho Inventory.

Multiline Custom Field

The Multiline text box allows you to enter descriptive texts of up to 36000 characters. So when you are sending out documents such as sales order, you can provide additional details about your product or service to your prospects. You will be able to create a maximum of five multi-line custom fields for your organization.

To do this: Go to Settings > Preferences > Select any module > Custom Field > + New Custom Field > Select Datatype as Text Box (Multiline).

Zoho Inventory Android App Update v1.1.0

1. Make purchases from your mobile with the addition of the Purchase Order module.

2. Initiate inventory transfers and track their whereabouts until the transfer is complete.

3. Get a detailed view of the bundling history in composite items.

4. We've added an option to refresh dashboard details.

5. You can provide additional information for your items using custom fields.

6. The app also supports the Multi-select custom field.

Zoho Inventory iOS App Updates

1. Shortage of stock will no longer be a deal breaker as you can now create Backorders and Drop shipments to your vendor on the go.

2. With literally a single tap on your device, you can now convert a sales order into an invoice with Instant Invoicing.

3. Handle last-minute cancellations on your orders like a pro. Now you can cancel items selectively from a sales order.

4. Manage multiple warehouses and initiate inventory transfers from wherever you are with the addition of the Warehouses module.

5. Already got your business running on other Zoho Finance apps? Join your existing organizations with Zoho Inventory from your mobile app without a hassle.

6. You don't have to be at your desk to ensure the safe delivery of your shipments. You can now track your shipments from your mobile app.

7. You can now customize the app to your preferred language. As of now, the app supports up to eight languages.

8. Featured: Carry Zoho Inventory on your wrist! That's right, you can now view the list of unpaid invoices from your paired device on the Apple Watch series.
