Hello, everyone!
Whether it's a new feature or a few tweaks to an existing one, we are always on the lookout to improve your invoicing experience. Here's a run-through of everything that was added to Zoho Invoice in the past month:
Display QR Code in Credit Notes
You can now choose to display a QR code in your credit note's PDF, which can be used to display additional details to your customers. This would be handy in cases where you want to direct your customers to a URL, such as taking them to your website where they can use the credits on your other products.
You can configure both what should be displayed when this QR code is scanned, as well as the description that should be displayed next to it in the credit note's PDF.
To enable this option: Go to Settings > Preferences > Credit Notes. Enable the Credit Note QR Code option.
After you enable it and configure the details, you also need to edit your template to include the QR code.
To do this: Go to Settings > Templates > Credit Notes. Edit the template you're using and check the Show Credit Note QR Code option. Click Save.
Record TDS in Invoices, Bills of Supply, and Debit Notes (India edition)
If your sale is liable for Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), you can now record it while creating an invoice, bill of supply, or debit note. You can either choose a rate from the TDS rates available in the dropdown, or add a new one. The selected TDS rate will be deducted from the invoice total.
Updates to the Mobile Apps
There have been a couple of updates to our mobile apps as well, so we recommend that you download the latest version of your Zoho Invoice iOS or Android app to get these updates.
iOS App
- To help you locate your customers easily, we've added the option to view their billing or shipping address on Google Maps.
- We've added the Simplified E-Invoice and Standard E-Invoice templates for our Saudi Arabia edition.
Android App
- We've provided the option to view a customer's billing and shipping address on Google Maps in the Android app as well.
- To narrow down on any data you want, you can now click the search icon in the top-right corner of a module’s list view to perform an advanced search.
- In a transaction’s details page, you can now view that transaction’s Comments & History and related payments as a separate section.
