Zoho CRM - looking to create a custom module to replace the out of box Notes feature
Hello, I am looking for feedback and ideas from the Zoho CRM community regarding my dilemma . . . . our sales team uses the mobile app daily to conduct their business. Each rep is required to enter notes to track their activities/engagement with potential customers and customers. Our executive team wants to me to require the sales rep to enter a NOTE TITLE, providing them with a pick list of values for them to choose from that best fits the reason for their note entry (engagement type). I understand customizing the OOB Notes feature isn't possible, so I thought using Kiosk or Wizard would help achieve this task; however, i just learned that both features aren't available for mobile users. So, I started building out a custom module called Sales Notes, to include a pick list field to select the type of engagement and a Multiline text field to enter text. I will have to associate other modules, such as Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Deals, etc.. to this new module; but i worry that going this route will not truly solve the problem or cause challenges in the future as we continue to expand our CRM utilization to other features. Any ideas or thoughts? I do not have experience w/Deluge at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
