Dear Zoho CRM Support Team,
I hope this email finds you well.
We recently performed a bulk upload of Contacts into
Zoho CRM using the official sample Excel template downloaded from the CRM.
The upload itself was completed successfully; however,
we encountered an issue when attempting to map the “Territories” field during
the import process.
Although the “Territories”
column is clearly visible in the uploaded Excel file, we are unable to map this
column to the Territories
field for each Contact during the field-mapping stage.
The Territories field does not appear as a selectable option in the drop-down
menu for Contacts as shown below under FELDS IN ZOHO CRM

As an alternative approach, we explored Setup
→ Territory Management → Assign Territories to assign
territories in bulk after the upload.
Unfortunately, this option appears to be available only for Accounts, Leads and Deals
and we do not see an option to assign Territories to Contacts through this
method as shown below
Given this limitation, we would appreciate your assistance in helping us
identify a way to assign Territories to the Contacts that were recently
uploaded in bulk.
If there are any recommended best practices, configuration steps or workaround
solutions (such as automation, APIs, or data updates), we would be grateful for
your guidance.
