You will be able to carry out the following actions based on your profile permissions. Click the  Permission Helper  at the bottom of the page to know your profile permissions.

Create a new project template

1. Click on Projects at the top left corner to navigate to your  Projects listing page. 
   
2. Click the  Create drop-down.
   
3. Select Template .
   
4. Enter the Template Name , select the  Owner , choose a project to clone , choose the Item Layout , and enter the  Description . 
   
   
5. Click Add.
   

• You can skip the Clone From option if you do not want to clone the template to an existing project.
  
• You will be notified once all the data is cloned to the template from the project.   
  

Configure project template settings  

1. Click Configure Template in the bottom left corner. You will be taken to the Project Configuration section in Setup.
   
   
2. Specify prefix and estimation type.
   
   
3. Create custom work item types.
   
4. Add custom priorities.
   
5. Add custom status.

1. Navigate to   page.
   
2. Go Project Configuration section.
   
   
3. Select the template project from the drop-down.
   
4. Create custom work item types  custom priorities, and custom status .
