Configure SAML in Zoho One/Directory

If you're a Zoho One user:

  1. Sign in to Zoho One, then click Directory in the left menu.
  2. Go to Marketplace, then click Browse Applications.
  3. Use the search bar to find and install StatusHub.

      

If you're a Zoho Directory user:

  1. Sign in to Zoho Directory, then click Admin Panel in the left menu.
  2. Go to Applications, then click Add Application.
  3. Use the search bar to find and add StatusHub.
  4. Name your app and enter the Account ID.
    Note: You can find the Account ID inside the SSO URL, in the following format:
    https://app.statushub.io/accounts/{Account  ID}/saml/authenticate.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Click the Single Sign-On tab.
  7. Click Service Provider Details to check and verify the SP details. You can also edit them if needed.
  8. Click Identity Provider Details, then click Download IDP Metadata.

Configure SAML in StatusHub

To configure SAML for a specific status page: 

  1. Sign in to StatusHub as an administrator.
  2. Click in the top bar of a specific status page, then click Restricted Access in the left pane.
  3. Check the restrict access using SAML 2.0 option. This will enforce SAML-based SSO to all users in your organization.
  4. Open the previously-downloaded IdP Metadata in a text editor, copy all its content, then paste it in the SAML 2.0 IdP metadata in XML format field.
  5. Click Save Changes.

To configure SAML for the StatusHub account: 

  1. Sign in to StatusHub as an administrator.
  2. Click Settings in the top bar, then click SAML 2.0 in the left menu.
  3. Use the toggle bar to enable SAML 2.0 access.
  4. Open the previously-downloaded IdP Metadata in a text editor, copy all its content, then paste it in the SAML 2.0 IdP metadata in XML format field.
  5. Click Update.

Test the SAML connection

  1. Return to the Zoho Directory Admin Panel.
  2. Go to Applications, then click StatusHub.
  3. Click Assign Users, choose yourself from the list, then click Assign.
  4. Click on the icon next to the app's name. If everything is working, you should be automatically signed in and taken to StatusHub's homepage.

Enforce SAML SSO

After successfully testing SSO, you can enforce it for all users. Once this is done, your users will no longer be able to sign in using their StatusHub credentials. Enabling SAML in StatusHub will automatically enforce all users to sign in through SAML.
