The Help Center in Zoho Desk can be customized by using HTML and CSS to provide structure and enhance the page's appearance—but what if you want to add interactive and dynamic elements?
You can add these effects with JavaScript, a programming language commonly used in websites and web applications to customize the behavior based on response.
The organization's admin must activate the Enable custom scripts for enhanced Help Center customization option before users can start using JavaScript.
There are two ways to use JavaScript.
1. Inline Script
This allows you to integrate third-party scripts (such as Google Analytics or payment gateways) with the Help Center. This option allows a user to add the script directly to the code and saves the time needed to create new code from scratch.
2. JavaScript functions
This option allows more advanced customizations, such as validation of a form before submission or calculation of the items in the cart. Custom JavaScript functions can interact with Zoho Desk components, manipulate DOM (Document Object Model) elements, or extend default behaviors.
This feature is now available to users of the Enterprise edition across all DCs.
