Better Security, Better User Experience | Help Center Update | June'25

As part of our commitment to enhancing user experience and security, we are happy to announce updates to our authentication mechanism. This update introduces several key enhancements designed to improve the password recovery process and streamline the sign-in procedure.

The Sign-in page, the Forgot Password page, and the Forgot Password email template are the three main updates associated with the login migration in the Zoho Desk Help Center, which we have explained below.

Key changes

Sign-in page update

The new Sign-in page provides an enhanced user interface that is more intuitive and user-friendly. This improves the authentication flow, providing quicker sign-in times thanks to optimized backend processes. We have also implemented additional security measures, including stronger encryption protocols, to protect user credentials.

Forgot Password page enhancement

The Forgot Password page has been redesigned to simplify user navigation and improve clarity during the password recovery process. We have added new validation checks to ensure that users can reset their passwords securely and efficiently. Users will now receive immediate OTPs during the password reset steps to enhance the overall experience.

QuotePasswords frequently serve as the initial barrier to protection, but they also represent one of the most prevalent vulnerabilities.

Password recovery email template update

The email template for password recovery has been updated to provide more informative and user-friendly content. This includes more precise instructions and a streamlined process to guide users through resetting their passwords. The new template now adheres to best practices in security, including the use of time-sensitive links that ensure timely action from users.

Idea
Upon entering a user email address, the one-time password (OTP) page will load seamlessly. An OTP and a link to reset the password will be sent to the user's email. Once the user receives the OTP, they can enter it on the Forgot Password page. After successfully verifying the OTP, the user will be granted the ability to create a new password, ensuring enhanced security and access to their account.

Wrapping up

By migrating to this enhanced version, we aim to create a more secure, efficient, and user-friendly authentication experience for all our users. We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with these changes and take advantage of the improved features. For any questions or further assistance, please reach out to support@zohodesk.com.
