Can I set "Opening Balances" a few at a time or must they all be set at the same time?

For example: can I enter starting balances for just my credit cards and then LATER enter a starting balance for other accounts (such as checking accounts) OR does the entry of Starting Balances happen only once?

I will be working with my accountant on this, but we won’t be able to finish the migration in a single session.
