Changes to the send mail Deluge task in Zoho CRM

Hello everyone,

At Zoho, we continuously enhance our security measures to ensure a safer experience for all users. As part of our ongoing security enhancements, we're making an important update on using the send mail Deluge task in Zoho CRM.

What's changing?
We'll be restricting the use of zoho.adminuserid as the from address in the send mail Deluge task in Zoho CRM. Going forward, this syntax will only accept either zoho.loginuserid or any verified email address as the sender in your Deluge scripts. 

If you need email addresses to be added as verified senders, please write to our Deluge support team at support@zohodeluge.com, and we'll help you get them approved.

When is it changing?
This change will take effect on December 20, 2025

What happens next?
After this change takes effect, the Deluge editor will automatically validate all send mail tasks to ensure compliance. 

For new scripts, any attempt to use an unsupported sender address will result in an error, and the script will not be saved until corrected.

If your existing Deluge scripts already use zoho.adminuserid, then:

  • These scripts will continue to function as usual and there will be no disruption to your ongoing email activities.
  • However, you will encounter an error if you edit and try to save such a script in the Deluge editor. To proceed, you'll need to update the from address to a supported one.


We're implementing this update to prevent potential spamming, spoofing, and other security risks that may arise from using unverified sender addresses. This change ensures that only verified and authorized email addresses are used when sending emails through Deluge scripts.

We request your attention to this update and encourage you to make the necessary adjustments at the earliest. Should you have any concerns or need assistance, please reach out to us; our team is always ready to help.
