We're trying to switch over from Quickbooks, and there's a minor annoyance that keeps being brought up regarding date entry.

Quickbooks allows one to type in the date with no spaces, slashes, dots, dashes or whatever and then is smart enough to be able to format appropriately. For example, our date settings are for MM/dd/yyyy, which is pretty standard for the US.

Our bookkeepers are accustomed to being able to type in 021621 and then tabbing to the next field. Quickbooks would then recognize that this is 02/16/2021.

This capability is available in other Zoho products (Creator specifically, I assume others), so folks at Zoho have seen the value in this at one point in the past.

I am not looking for a workaround.

It's hard enough to get people to change what they're used to, and this is the sort of annoyance that grates on users. They have to type in dates dozens and dozens of times a day, they've done it one way (that's pretty easy) for years, and then that gets taken away from them.

It seems silly, but this is the type of thing that leads to enough noise from users that it can impact software choice.

Please, please consider leveraging what's already available in Creator into Books. It's a big deal to the people who do data entry regularly.
