We have been using Zoho Books 'Test" for quite some times.
After around a month we decided to go for 'live' account.
To my surprise, I found that they cannot activate the test
account, which we have been using for the past one month.
So they Zoho open another live account for us. In any
normal accounting system, we can just download a
back up and can upload in to the new one, it is that simple.
But in Zoho Books, there is no such back up system. Instead
I have to go each and every module, Invoice, Payments Receipts,
Expense, one by one have to down load and then to upload
to the new live account.
Now, when you try to upload the same file which is downloaded
from Zoho Books, It won't accept as it is, you will get a message
if it is the .xls file you will receive the message 'File types with
.xlsx files are not supported.
Now you go back and download again the csv files, then comes
the message 'none of the rows can be imported' because
date format change, and so many reasons. you change the
date format and then again comes the same ... So the only
way is to call their 'Support', which will come to solve the
issue after two or three days.
Then another one hour they spent, they will show you how to do
the changes but again, when we do the same things, we cannot.
Because only they know how it happened. Again you called the
support, after two days they will come back to you ...go through
the same process.
I can't understand why ZOHO wants to keep things so complicated?
Did they can make the system in a simple downloading and
uploading?
I firmly believe that ZOHO is doing a test run at the expense
of the public.
