I'd to check whether anyone in the forum knows if anything like what I'm about to describe either:-

a). currently exists?

b). is possible? and / or...

c). if it would be useful?

FYI, I have both Zoho CRM (Standard) and Zoho Recruit (Standard).

I used to work for a recruitment company who had a unique piece of code developed that was *very* useful.

It came into force when you had a formatted CV / skills profile that you wanted to market out to potential customers. You could send a mass email to a targeted list of client contacts which included a Web URL link to view the formatted CV, that when they clicked it showed in their web browser as either a Word doc or PDF.

Here comes the interesting part....

The Web URL itself contained Macro's (I think) to pull in both the Candidate#ID and the Client#ID - then *when* (and every time) that unique Web URL link was clicked / visited, I would receive a notification via email.  The benefit of this was that you had a level of traceability on potential interest - the more times you receive an email notification, the greater the indication of potential interest from that customer on that CV / those skills (which you would of course follow up). The numerical Candidate#ID and Client#ID's meant little to the person the other side, but to me - I could use that numerical ID from the notification email to identify who was looking at what CV, when (near real-time), and how many times they viewed.

Now this was many years ago, and I think it was written in PHP.

Is there *anything* like this around for Zoho Recruit / CRM, or that could be developed? (perhaps via API's)
