If I close account will i be able to reuse that email address?

Through the process of customizing my zoho applications. I ended up with two accounts. Is it possible to close account associated with email Y@Y.com and then once closed can I use that email Y@Y.com as an additional email address for my open account B@B.com?

Is this possible? Thanks!
