Keeping filled out fields when converting sales order to purchase order

I have created custom fields in Zoho Books on both my sales order and purchase order templates. I fill out the fields in the sales order, but when I go to convert it to a purchase order, I lose all the information I've filled out....having to reenter it, which isn't very efficient. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the information that is entered on the sales order to automatically regenerate on the purchase order? Since it's converting the same document, I'm not sure why that info wouldn't repopulate, but I can't find any info about this anywhere! Thanks!!
