Need best practices and ideas for group calendars or personal calendar with group invite


Please share your ideas and best practices to use Calendars. Here's the situation.


Using a group calendar to hold weekly recurring meetings for the "Design Team" means that Design Team members can easily view/hide the calendar. However, it also means they cannot seletively confirm availability.

Using a personal calendar to hold weekly recurring Design Tea meetings, means that Design Team members cannot easily show/hide all events related to Design Team. However, it does mean that they can, on per-instance basis, perform then "Remove me" from "this event" or "all events".

My ideal is a group calendar, with recurring events, but permitted a person to selectively "remove" themselves from an an instance.  

Is there any way to achieve this?
