New in Smart Prompt: Record Assistant for contextual assistance, and support for new AI models

Smart Prompt helps teams stay informed and move faster by providing relevant suggestions where work happens in CRM. With this update, Smart Prompt becomes more adaptable to your organization’s AI preferences.

You can now choose which Large Language Model powers Smart Prompt, along with a refreshed interface that makes prompts easier to access and act on.

1.  The re-visioned Smart Prompt

The Smart Prompt feature, integrates the power of Zia and your choice of LLM source to deliver contextual, relevant, and actionable suggestions, as Record Assistant, for summary and content generations, and Template Assistant for generating email template contents. 

Record Assistant
Smart Prompt is now available through the Record Assistant, a panel inside each record that provides AI suggestions in context. Instead of appearing only while typing, Smart Prompt now works at a record level, summarizing customer history.

Within Record Assistant, you get:
  • Conversation Summary, recaps recent emails, calls, meetings, and notes linked to the record
  • Record Summary, gives a quick view of the customer’s current status and key details
  • Note Summary, extracts important points from all notes or just the latest one
  • Content Generation, like draft emails or notes using your configured AI model

This makes Smart Prompt more record-aware and usable for quick decisions, handoffs, and follow-ups.

Template Assistant
When you're creating email templates, you can simply describe what you’re trying to write, the purpose of the email, the tone, or a rough idea, and the Template Assistant will generate content that fits. You can ask it to shorten, expand, or rephrase parts of the template, or request a different style if needed.

2. Support for new AI models

Smart Prompt now works with a range of AI models. You can enable the one that aligns best with your needs:

Existing LLMs
  • Zia (Zoho's native model)
  • ChatGPT
New LLMs
  • Gemini
  • Claude
  • Cohere
  • DeepSeek (Supported only in CN DC)
  • SiliconFlow (Supported only in CN DC)

Each model brings different strengths, and you stay in control of what runs inside your CRM. Admins can configure the model of their choice, and users will receive suggestions backed by the selected model.

Notes
Points to be noted:
  1. Available for Professional and above editions of Zoho CRM.
  2. Supported in all DCs (model availability depends on region)
  3. Languages supported: All languages
  4. Admins enable the feature and decide which models are allowed for the org.
