Nifty enhancements to Reports in Zoho CRM

Nifty enhancements to Reports in Zoho CRM

Dear Customers,

We hope you’re well!

We are here with a line of useful enhancements to Reports in Zoho CRM that are readily available to access.
  1. Include or exclude Record ID in the report export
  2. Display currency fields in record currency
  3. Capture report deletion in Audit Logs
Include or exclude Record ID in report export
Thus far, when you export a report, the file carried record IDs inherently. While it may act as identifying values in some cases, many a times, businesses do not refer to these record IDs in their processes. And, thus, we have moderated this behavior.

Now, every time you choose to export a report, or send them via email, or schedule, you can choose to include or exclude them by selecting or unselecting the Show record ID column option.

Note:
  • For reports that are scheduled previously, this option is enabled by default, and only the record IDs of records of the primary module would be displayed.
  • For scheduled, detailed, and formatted report export, checking the Show record ID column will include only the Ids of the primary module’s records.

To all of the above cases, to include the IDs of related modules’ records, you can edit the report and add the record ID of the desired related modules to the column.Notes

Display currency fields in record currency
Thus far, when you include a currency field in your report, the report would convert the record currency into home currency while rendering. Now, you can choose to display the record currency as well as the home currency from the columns selector.

Capture report deletion in Audit Logs
When you delete a report, it will be moved to the Recently Deleted folder before it is permanently trashed. Earlier, this temporary deletion was not captured in the Audit Log; instead, only those reports that were permanently deleted was captured.

Now, we are capturing them both. The reports that are deleted and are moved to the recently deleted folder will read like “Harriet Nicholson Deleted a Report named Account contribution,” and those that are deleted permanently will read like “Harriet Nicholson Permanently Deleted a Report named Account contribution from Recently Deleted.” With the Recently Deleted bin capturing only deletion for the last 30 days, Audit Log will report deletion for up to three years—admins can thereby identify these activities effectively.

These are all the nifty updates we made to the Reports feature. These are already available for customers in all DCs. See you soon!
