Real-Time Alert or Status Indicator for WhatsApp Connection Issues in SalesIQ

Hi Zoho Team,

We’d like to request a feature enhancement in Zoho SalesIQ related to WhatsApp integration stability and visibility.

Recently, we encountered a critical issue where our WhatsApp bot stopped responding to messages without any warning or alert in the SalesIQ interface or any email alert to the admin.

After considerable troubleshooting, we were only able to restore functionality by manually unlinking the WhatsApp number and reconnecting it. While this solved the problem, it was not clear to us that there was a connection issue in the first place.

We later received confirmation from your support team that the issue was due to an incomplete connection of the WhatsApp number on the backend, and that this kind of issue currently lacks any form of alert or indication in SalesIQ.

Feature Request

We request the addition of:

  1. Real-time alerts (e.g. email, in-app notification, or dashboard banner) when a WhatsApp number is disconnected or encounters backend connectivity issues.

  2. A visible status indicator on the SalesIQ WhatsApp configuration page showing the current connection status of each linked number (e.g. Connected, Disconnected, Error).

  3. Optional: An auto-retry mechanism or a prompt suggesting the user to re-link the number when an issue is detected.

Justification

Lack of visibility into WhatsApp connection status can lead to:

  • Missed messages and poor customer experience

  • Unnecessary downtime

  • Time-consuming troubleshooting

Such alerts and indicators would significantly improve monitoring and help us resolve issues proactively.

Thank you for considering this enhancement. We believe it will bring real value to all SalesIQ users who rely on WhatsApp for customer communication.
