I am just wondering how to manage to get a partial number of a whole barcode!

Most of products we deal with have lot-specific barcodes, in which I can not identify a one-time only barcode, it is changeable by lot-to-lot basis. However, a small part of the barcode is the original product SKU, how can I manage Zoho Books to read the partition i need?

Any ideas or thoughts regarding this matter?

Does anyone have encountered such problem?
