Sync Attachments in Comments from Zoho Desk to Zoho Projects

Sync Attachments in Comments from Zoho Desk to Zoho Projects

Hello Zoho Desk Team,
We hope you're doing well.

We are actively using the Zoho Desk–Zoho Projects integration, especially for reporting and managing bugs/issues between support and development teams.

Current Limitation:
After creating a bugs/issues via Zoho Desk - Each new comment added to the ticket in Zoho Desk is synced in to the relevant bug/issue in Zoho Projects and vice versa.

But there is an inconsistency in how attachments are handled:
  1. When a comment is added in Zoho Desk: Inline images embedded directly inside the comment body are synced to Zoho Projects. However, files or images added using the attachment icon are not synced at all

  2. In contrast, when files are attached in Zoho Projects: These are successfully synced back to the Zoho Desk ticket.
This creates a one-sided and inconsistent behavior, where attachments only sync from Zoho Projects → Zoho Desk, but not the other way around when added from Zoho Desk comments.

And not to mentioned the issue that once cannot add attachments at all (inline or attachments) when creating the bug/issue (see this feature request)

Feature Request:

We kindly request to support full synchronization of attachments added to comments in Zoho Desk (via the attachment icon) to the corresponding issue/bug in Zoho Projects.

Why This Matters:

In many cases, support agents attach: Screenshots, Log files, Documents.
These are often added as attachments (not inline images), and they are critical for developers to understand and resolve issues.

Currently, agents must manually re-upload these files in Zoho Projects, which adds unnecessary manual work, Creates risk of missing important information and Breaks the seamless collaboration the integration is meant to provide.

Thank you for considering this enhancement. It would significantly improve the usability and completeness of the Zoho Desk–Zoho Projects integration.

Best regards,
Ram
