Why is there no API that can fetch inventory stock details by date?

Our Goal: To generate an automated Inventory Stock report.

The idea: We thought we could use Zoho Inventory's APIs to fetch available stock by date.
(either custom date or date range)

The problem: Although we can go into Reports and see inventory details by date, this is a
total manual system and not very helpful to generate an automated report everyday.


Question: Why is there no API that can fetch inventory stock details by date?
