Zoho Meeting Remote Support - how to avoid using Java? it's so slooooow..

The install for Java every time we try to connect to a client computer takes forever. Supposedly there is an activeX control, but how do we use it? 
We're about one day from cancelling our license for a refund.. the remote support is barely usable.
