Year in review
Last year was all about growth for Zoho Projects. While Projects helped you monitor progress reports and cross major milestones, it crossed some of its own in product enhancement and new features. Whether we were attracting new users, turning heads, or teasing upcoming features, we enhanced the project management process.

Zia
Zia, our AI assistant, allows users to interpret reports, translate text, search using natural language and more freeing up time to work on other things. Learn more
Gantt
Tasks on a timeline aren't just easy to understand—they're easy to plan, too. That's why we added Gantt charts with timeline views. These helped users view, add, and reschedule tasks directly. Learn more
Workload report
Color-coding data enables easy identification, avoids confusion, and enhances analysis. This year, Zoho Projects' color-coded workload reports helped project managers track users' workload status without over-allocating anyone. Learn more
Bigin integration
Integration streamlines processes and enhances efficiency across systems. Projects' integration with Bigin this year helped users manage customer pipelines. From creating projects in Bigin to importing clients and contacts into Zoho Projects, this integration was a big hit with our users. Learn more
Global Web Tab
Web tabs are great for accessing web pages or applications that support iframes from within the product. We have enhanced this feature to support tabs at organization level offering wider access to applications. Learn more
Schedule function
Scheduling makes processes more streamlined. This year, we upgraded our schedule function to help users do just that: schedule actions instead of relying on manual intervention. Learn more
Time based trigger
The Task workflow rules feature is now more advanced with time based triggers. Users can schedule the rule to be activated depending on different time-based criteria, giving them more control over the actions. Learn more
Zoho Projects add-on for Google Workspace
This year, Projects showed up on Google Workspace as an add-on that supported smart chips. Users can simply enter task or issue URLs into Google Docs to view their details, enhancing flexibility and collaboration. Learn more
Project budgeting
Tracking expenses against your budget this year was as easy as it could get with Zoho Projects. We added the ability to track cost budgets and budgeted hours across all modules, based on the entire project or in each Phase, Task, or User module. Learn more
Whiteboard
Visual collaboration is a big advantage for teams working on a project, so we implemented Whiteboard. Users and teams were able to add Whiteboard to their Projects modules. Learn more
Task module renaming
Norms and action names vary across industries. This year, Zoho Projects enabled users to rename the Task module to match their own terminology or disable it entirely. Learn more
Phase custom view
We also added custom views for the Phases module. Project managers and users created phase views that met their specific project criteria. This helped users stay focused on critical details while also sharing the view with other stakeholders. Learn more
Auto-suggestions for task dependency
We added relevant suggestions and easy access to modifications, relieving project managers from countless clicks and page shifts. With these improvements, users were able to view, set, or update task dependencies directly from any of the task views. Learn more
Issue custom fields
We enhanced identifying and addressing issues with additional custom fields. These additional fields let users customize issue forms and describe issues more precisely. Users were able to gather all the information required to resolve each issue in the issue form. Learn more
Task reminders with more options
We added more details to the task reminder feature to suit your project needs and urgency. With an enhanced number of reminder options, users couldn't miss task deadlines and project timelines. Learn more
