There seems to be serious lag when CLIQ looks up the autoconversion from ascii art to emoji.

Try it. In a conversation type :-), and note how the whole GUI freezes for a couple seconds while it searches for the right emoji to swap for the smiley face.

I'd like to see it either (a) do the lookup with a JS promise so it allows you to continue to type without freezing the GUI, or (b) be a lot quicker! 

This happens at cliq.zoho.com, and in the app on windows.
