Announcing the New Zoho BugTracker

We were frequently asked to have bug tracking as a separate, stand-alone product, decoupled from the rest of Zoho Projects - and to make it even more affordable. So we launched Zoho BugTracker a week before, a standalone product that helps teams fix bugs fast.

Here's a quick summary of what's new in this release:  :
  • Give a structure to how bugs are handled by defining custom workflows
  • Configure severity for the bugs to indicate how much the bug disrupts users from doing their jobs
  • Build a library of business rules that enables you to perform actions like changing the severity, status etc
  • Motivate team members to fix bugs with quick access to resolutions, history and comments.
  • Trigger mail notifications to users for various events like when a bug got created, assigned or resolved. 
  • Create your own text, numeric and date field to track bugs the way you want using custom fields.
  • Configure permissions for your clients to view and fix bugs assigned to them
  • A simple bug report gives you the progress of bugs based on properties like severity, module etc.

BugTracker is collaborative too
Teams can keep tabs on the bugs and their progress. Forums and Dashboards make it easy for team members to focus on what’s important for them. And just like in Zoho Projects, Zoho BugTracker displays the stream of the recent activities and now you can submit a bug, add comments for bugs all through an email.
