Here is my situation:

1.) I have a Dropdown field called Property Sub Type & Description with several choices (e.g. 105 Commercial Real Estate - Retail, 107 Commercial Real Estate - Lodging/Resorts, etc.). Next to this field is a field called Property Sub Type. What I want to happen is have the field Property Sub Type field auto filled with the data being put in Property Sub Type & Description field but with a bit of modification. 

E.g. If user chooses "105 Commercial Real Estate - Retail" for Property Sub Type and Description field, the field for Property Sub Type should automatically fill in "105" and without "Commercial Real Estate" (just the number). 

Please let me know if this is possible and how should I go about it.
