Can't connect to VO installation on local PC or via internet

I have just installed on-Premise version of Virtual Office 3.2. I want to use it for small office installation. The port setting is the default 8080. I have a router and Mcafee Security Center 2007 installed. As I am a newbie and only fairly IT literate can someone give me the "idiots" guide" to getting Virtual Office up and running. I would really like to use it!
