Can't follow web links in Internet Explorer

Can't follow web links in Internet Explorer

If I open Writer in Firefox, I can follow my embedded web links by pressing CTRL - left mouse button, and the web page opens in a new tab.

When I open the same doc in IE I can't follow any of my embedded web links.
The only method which I have found is to right-click on the link and choose "Check Link".

Any ideas?
