Can't Add User - Message says, "already exists in other organization"

I'm trying to add a colleague to Zoho Docs but I receive the error, "already exists in other organization" when I enter their email address. We have a ZOHO CRM organization account, so of course their address is going to be in use. How can I add my colleague?
