Changing the Date-Time format

How do I change the format of a Date-Time field? I don't want it to be 13:00:00 -- instead, I want it to show 1:00 PM.

Also, is there a way that I can have the date also show the day -- so ideally it would read:

Mon Nov 3 2008 1:00 PM
