Confirmation requested: eligibility and process to downgrade to Forever Free — tenant bigbanghawking.com
Thank you for your reply. I am testing Zoho Mail from Brazil with the tenant bigbanghawking.com (endpoint: mail.zoho.com) and we are currently on the Premium trial that expires 21/01/2026. Before deciding whether to pay or cancel, I need written confirmation on a few critical points to avoid data loss and service interruption.
- Is the statement correct that, if we do not activate a paid plan, the tenant will be automatically downgraded to the Forever Free edition? Please confirm this applies to tenants in Brazil and specifically to our tenant (data center US).
- Can we perform the downgrade now (while still in the Premium trial) to the Forever Free plan for testing purposes, and then revert if needed? If yes, please describe the exact steps and any immediate impacts.
- If we do not pay at trial expiry, what is the exact behavior and timeline? Do we retain full access for 15 days after expiry, or is there a different grace period? What happens to mailboxes, IMAP/POP access, API integrations and stored data during and after that period?
- Data retention and deletion: confirm the retention policy and maximum time before any data is permanently deleted after downgrade or trial expiry.
- Immediate feature impacts: list which features are disabled or restricted immediately upon downgrade (for example: IMAP/POP, API access, SSO, storage quotas, shared resources, groups).
- If Forever Free is not available for our tenant, please advise the safest migration path to preserve all data and the recommended steps to avoid service interruption.
We have 5 active users and have prepared backups. Please respond with an official ticket or e‑mail confirming the items above before we take any action. If possible, include the exact wording or screen we should expect in the Zoho Store when performing the downgrade.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Marcelo Rossetto
