I’ve been testing the Email Parser functionality in Zoho CRM to automatically extract data from incoming emails and map it to CRM fields.

During testing, I noticed that parsing sometimes fails when the email contains field labels formatted like this:

First name: Test
Last: name: parsing
Email address: test@gmail.com

In this case, the parser does not always correctly identify or map the values to the appropriate CRM fields. However, when the information is written within sentences, the parsing appears to work more reliably.

I’m curious if others have experienced similar behaviour with the Email Parser.

Are there any recommended formatting practices to improve parsing accuracy?

Would appreciate hearing how others have handled similar scenarios.
