Enhanced Sign-in UI and OTP-Based Password Reset for Portals

As of 5th December, 2024, we are introducing enhanced sign-in interfaces and One-Time Password (OTP) based verification for password reset in an effort to improve security and stream the user journey across all portals.

What's changing

New Interface for Portal Sign-in

The flow and UI of the sign-in page for all portals will change. To begin with, portal users will see the Email Address field alone. Only upon entering a registered email address, will users be prompted to enter their Password.


OTP-based verification for Setting/Resetting Passwords

In addition to the Captcha, users will also need to verify their identity via an OTP sent to their email address if they wish to set (or) reset their portal account password.



Additionally, we have revised the flow for when a user has been invited to join your portal, but has not set a password through the link in the email invite. In such cases, users will now see a Set Password Now button which clearly guides them to the next step.

New Default Email Template

The new system email template Password Reset via OTP will be made available for all portals (except Custom Portal), functionally replacing the Password Reset template. While the Password Reset template will become inactive, it will remain accessible for your reference.


What you can do

Once the update is deployed on 5th December, 2024, ensure that any critical details or customizations included to the old template (Password Reset) are transferred to the new one (Password Reset via OTP).  You will find the new template under Setup > Portal Setup > [Candidate, Client or Vendor Portal].
