Export function not working consistently

Export function not working consistently

The Export function is not working properly. My environment: Firefox 1.5.0.6 running on 1.25 ghz eMac OSX 10.4.7. Export in Doc, RTF and PDF formats brings up new window announcing "Exporting to ....." then it just hangs there. No Finder window opens asking for what you want to do with the file on downlaod to the local machine.

Several documents do export properly. I can not see anything about the documents themselves that separate those that do export from those that don't.

This is troubling to say the least.
