Extension Pointers - Simple yet significant pointers #9: Module visibility

Controlling the visibility of custom modules in an extension

 

The Zoho Developer Console allows you to create custom modules via an extension that will be integrated into the user's Zoho CRM account. Along with this support, the platform allows the developer to control the visibility of the locations where the custom module can be viewed.

 

How to control the visibility of a custom module in an extension via developer console

• Choose Modules from the left panel of the Zoho Developer console, under Build. Click the Visibility tab.

• The list of custom modules you've created in the extension will be displayed in the Module List picklist. Choose the custom module of your choice.

• Choose the locations from which you want to hide your module's visibility and click Save. This will hide the custom module from appearing in the chosen locations when the extension is installed in a Zoho CRM account.

                                                      

 

Note: When we enable the Preview Mode option and test the application in a sandbox using the Test your Extension button, all of the Visibility page configurations are applied and the developer can test accordingly in the sandbox environment. If it's disabled, the configurations will not be applied in the sandbox environment.
