Extra blank lines between paragraphs

I am using the Zoho Writer Remote API as part of my site.

I noticed something strange on a number of occasions. If I have composed a document in Microsoft Word, I can either import it directly into Zoho or copy and paste it into Zoho, and it appears properly. I then save it to our database (as a .odt binary) and reopen it, and it still appears properly. However, when I then save it to our database for a second time and then reopen it, I find that there are now a number of blank lines between paragraphs that were not there before.

I am attaching a sample file in which I observed this behavior. Please note that in order to replicate this bug, you will need to save it from Zoho as .odt file, and then import that .odt file back into Zoho -- then repeat that process.
