Two points about the gui:

I think the up and down navagation triangle pointers in the window that lists your documents are too small, and too close together. I say that because it is not easy for me to get the mouse cursor on them.

regarding the list of buttons in the statusbar: Document Information, Search, Tags, and Shared Info. I bet that people use the Search button at least ten times more often than any of the others. For that reason I think it should be easier to find with your cursor. Instead of being in the middle of the row of buttons, put it on one end of the row, or, if possible, separate all together. I think the best place would be in the middle of the statusbar as that would be really easy to spot with your eye and it would mean the shortest distance on average for moving your mouse cursor.
