Hi, I'm a noob

I signed on to ZOHO on Wednesday. Yesterday I had the most frustrating experience trying to type a writer document. Many features did not seem to work: I couldn't , for example, re-format text to bold or underline consistently, (i.e., it worked sometimes, and sometimes it didn't). The same was true for many of the features. Finally, I got frustrated and exported it to Word ( that worked well), and finished it there. I'd really like this package to work. But, man! I spent a very frustrating 2 hours with Writer yesterday.
