How to customize HTML email templates that impresses your audience: Part 1

Zoho Bookings allows you to supercharge your email templates and stay consistent with your branding.

• Create gorgeous emails that enhance brand recall.

• Be lively amongst a sea of unopened emails.

• Reduce no-shows and increase recurring revenue.

• Stay in line with what you and your brand stand for.

Today, we will teach you two simple ways of editing the default email notifications to reflect your brand.

 

Which one do you like?

Method 01 - Text Based Edits   

Estimated Completion Time - less than 5 minutes 

1. Navigate to the email template you wish to edit. (Services > Service Notifications > Customize)

2. Click on the 'Insert' dropdown in the top right corner of this dashboard
   

3. You can embed 30+ variables and three buttons with a single click.
   

Method 02 - Adding Logos to your Email  a) from your website b) from imgur

Business logos play a vital role and help you stay consistent with your brand.

 

We recommend you to refer to the notes before trying out the following steps.

Option a - Using the logo on your website in your email template

1. Navigate to the email template you wish to edit. (Services > Service Notifications)

2. To edit an email template, Click 'customize.'

3. Click on the image button.

4. Now go to your website and right click to copy the image link.

5. Paste the link in the image box in Zoho Bookings' Email customization dashboard.
   

6. If you are happy with the results, click 'OK' to save them.
   

Voila, you have successfully inserted images into your email templates.

Option b - If you don't have brand logos on your website  

If you don't have static images on your website or have them in sizes unsuitable to be embedded in the email template, don't worry. You can host your brand logos on Imgur for free and upload them.

1. Resize your logos based on your preferences. Here's a guide on best logo sizes - How to get ideal logo size.

2. Now, create an account on Imgur.

1. Click on the new post from the top left corner.  

2. Either drop your brand logo in the space mentioned or select them from the file manager.

3. Once the logo is uploaded, right-click on the image and click on 'Copy Image Address.'

3. Open Zoho Bookings. Paste the link in the image box in Zoho Bookings' Email customization dashboard.
   

4. Click 'OK.'
   

Voila, the brand logo is uploaded successfully to the email template.

Note 

Create a backup of the original HTML code. You will need this if you want to restore the default email content. Refer to the following video to make a backup.

Conclusion   

In this tutorial, we've made tiny changes to amplify our template. In parts 2 and 3, we will utilize different ways to edit them, from simple HTML edits to giving a complete overhaul of your emails.
