How to determin or edit Username

I am trying to configure access control by user name. My approach is to create a folder for ACL and type user name in it.

This actually works.

ACL == zoho.loginuser

I just need to enter user name in ACL field in advance. The problem is that I do not know how Zoho system generates or determin the user name, and I am wondering if there is any way to edit the user name.

I created my admin account with my email - sysadmin@mydomain.com, and my user name became "sysadmin." I created another user account by using his actual name and email address, and jsmith@mydomain.com generates "jsmith" as a user name.

But if there are another jsmith, such as jsmith@hotmail.com or jsmith@yahoo.com, how Zoho determins the user name?

I changed Nickname in the account, but it did not change the user name.

Can anybody tell me how Zoho creator handles user name?
